Well, it's the home stretch before Christmas and I've been busily knitting some last minute gifts. I bought some more novelty yarn at Knitting Central on Sunday for some more Jazzed Up Denim Jackets. One is for my niece Emily Grace. The other is going to be for Haley Qaissaunee - our neighbor from Union, NJ. The other day Andrew (10) and I were reminiscing about our dear friends from our old neighborhood and since I've been on a "Jazzed Up Denim Jacket" kick, Andrew shyly asked me the cutest thing.
He said, "Mom, I've got something to ask you."
I was very curious and said, "What?"
He said, "Nevermind."
"No, come on. You can ask."
At this point the curiosity is killing me. Finally, he gets up the nerve to ask me. "Mom, can you knit one of those jean jackets with light blue trim for Haley?"
It was so cute! I think he misses his friends from Union. I know I do!
