I can't wait to get on the road again. BF and I are heading to Philadelphia and Washington DC for the New Year's Eve weekend to visit friends. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm all packed. I just need to decide what project to take.
Maybe I should take the orange yarn and make my side split collar sweater
But then, I'm having second thoughts. I feel so heavy after all the holiday feeding frenzy. This chunky yarn will only make me feel chunkier. Maybe I should use this Cascade 220 in chocolate brown to make a lighter version of the side split collar sweater. I got this yarn for my birthday from BF's mom. I haven't decided what to make with it. I though about the Ribby Cardy... but who knows. It's all feeling like too much thinking and planning for a fun mindless road trip.
I even got this UFO out of the closet. Remember this? It's "BF Sweater" that I started last January. I'm up to the neckline (knitting in the round from the bottom up). Everyone in SNL warned me about the curse of the dreaded Boyfriend Sweater. If you make a sweater for a boyfriend, it's sure to doom the relationship. I don't believe in that hogwash... except I've been reluctant to finish BF sweater, so maybe I do... just a little.
You know, I think I'll just take these bags of sock and fingering weight yarn for more little knitting swatches and maybe some mini sweater ornaments.
Let's hit the road, Jack, er, I mean BF!
