BF is playing lots of poker in Las Vegas this week, which gives me ample time to knit and sit and sit and knit. It also happens to be the World Series of Poker this week in Las Vegas, so poker playing is crazier than usual. I waited patiently (that's code for "I was knitting") outside the poker room while BF played. I met 3 other women who wished they had brought their knitting, too. Why didn't they? That's all I want to know.
I'm making great progress on my Almost Argyle socks. I need to make a swing by Gail Knits here in Las Vegas for some stitch markers before I continue with the Crayons and Chalkboard fair isle vest. I think I'll do that today. I'm having such a nice vacation - I'm doing nothing but relaxing. I've slept, read, knit, had a massage, and even a facial. Not a bad life. Here's the book I read and really enjoyed. Have you read it?
I promise that I'll have pictures to post when I get home. In the meantime, happy knitting!
Boy - do I keep a promise. Check out this picture of Major Knitter and the The Poker Brat at the WSOP. He was working the room, but was kind enough to spare a nanosecond for this pose. I'd hoped to have my knitting in hand for a celebrity poker shot, but unfortunately, this shot was taken at the only time of the trip that I didn't have my knitting handy.
