It's been four weeks since the boys surgeries - and I'm so happy to report that they are as good as new. It's truly amazing to see how resilient boys are. They head back to school on Monday. I'm certain that all your get well wishes, thoughts and prayers helped them make such a speedy recovery.
The boys have also benefitted from the one-on-one attention of homebound tutors to keep them up with their classmates. It's actually been a great experience. I'm so grateful to the school system that offers this service when students miss school for more than 15 days due to an excused medical absence. Let's not even mention how grateful I am to the tutors themselves.
Finally, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for all your support, comments and emails. I really, really appreciate it. Next week we all get back to our regularly scheduled routines.

Glad to hear they are bouncing back already!

Hooray! And how have 4 weeks passed since we hung out in Norfolk? It weeks like one or two to me, although maybe it felt longer at home with two restless boys. So glad things have worked out well for them and you.

Woo hoo! So glad they're going back to school but sorry I won't get to meet them on Monday. I'm sure a lot of their recovery can be attributed to a loving mom.

Did the tutors receive any hand knit gifts?
Just saying...

I am so glad your guys are doing well. It always feels great to get back to normal after being sick or once you have healed.

I'm so happy to hear that the boys are doing so well and will be ready to go back to school next week. What a great service for the schools to provide tutors for home-bound children with medical issues. They'll just jump back in like they were never gone, I'm sure.
