My big project for the Scouting event is the Course Director's Flag. It's a gift that the staff is presenting to him as a gift and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
My knitting friends Betsy and Kathy really helped me out (with quilting advice and fancy machine stitching). I think the flag turned out quite nice - especially since it was my first attempt at an applique machine quilt. I learned many things from this project and look forward to trying my hand at quilting again in the future.

You did a wonderful job on the flag..Good Job!

You might have to rename your blog to Major Knitter and Seamstress! :)

I love now that I can get into your blog from Westportnow. My morning coffee is complete again.
I love the bear placemats and the boyscout banner. What a great use of a sewing machine.
I too quilt. I threw together three placemats for daughter, husband, and I then attacked a baby animal quilt kit I bought in Alaska. While I was away from your blog I knitted a blue baby sweater and a lavender one. Don't know if the grandbaby is a boy or girl. Also made a blue smocked dress, which coordinates fine with the sweater.
