The excitement is building. The exhibits are amazing. The fun is fantastic. The shows are spectacular.
Last night we had the big 2010 100th Anniversary BSA National Jamboree Arena Show. We stepped off from our campsites at 4:30 p.m. and arrived at 6:00 p.m. for the 8:00 p.m. show. We ate a picnic dinner, chatted, knit, and enjoyed the pre-show entertainment.
The excitement and noise reached a crescendo when the surprise special guest was introduced: Mike Rowe
He was a magnificent motivational speaker; regaling the 70,000+ crowd with tales of his introduction to Boy Scouts. He also tried to make an amendment to the Scout Law by eliminating A Scout is Clean...
A Scout is clean... but not afraid to get dirty.
Thanks Eagle Scout Mike Rowe for making the Jamboree Arena show so very special.

Mike Rowe is my heartthrob! Did not know he was an eagle scout but I should have guessed. One more great quality he has. Did you know he was an opera singer? Love the photos...miss you!
