It's not even Halloween, and I got the itch for holiday knitting. I don't know how many rules I'm breaking by doing that!
Of course, my Knit Picks catalog came and I immediately fell in love with the Snow Day Kit by Nina Isaacson. How cute is this? Miniature sweaters; penguin; felted gingerbread man; sled; string of lights; and a popcorn/cranberry garland. Too cute for words. This kit comes with 9 skeins of palette yarn and the patterns for all the aforementioned ornaments.
I bought two kits: one for me and one for my inspiration - Estella. You'll remember she is far ahead on getting the miniature sweaters knit up for her holiday wreath. Remember this picture from last year?
So I'm taking a little break from the Faery Ring to knit up at least one ornament. They're really too cute for words.
Do you knit Christmas ornaments? If so which are your favorite patterns?

you know I do :)

Oh yes ... BUT I start in February with both gifts and next year's ornaments. This year I just concentrated on gifts tho. But I bought the KP ornament kit last year. You just reminded me that I need to get it out and knit ... aaah, maybe for next year tho. I hate putting pressure on myself.

Oh how you tempt me! I love the sweaters, lights, popcorn garland, sled and gingerbread man! Just might have to buy this. Last year after the holiday rush, my LYS held a class for a knitted Santa. It was so relaxing not having to rush to complete him. He's been sitting in my fiber room waiting to make his debut in a month!

Oh wow! That is the cutest kit! I wish Knit Picks would ship to the UK (mind you, I have more than enough yarn, and not enough time, so it's probably just as well that they don't and therefore I'm not tempted!).
