I'm in a finishing frenzy. I'm loving every minute of it. The lack of power meant I spent lots of time with my family, reading, playing games and knitting. I finished 3 long time lingering projects (one of which I'm saving to share with you tomorrow for Finishing Friday). But that means I have six WIPs and I have to decide which to finish next. Here they are in order of length of time on the needles.
There's the long forgotten Kaffe Fassett Floral Jacket - 55% complete
Bonne Marie Burns' Ribby Cardi - 60% complete (I abandoned this one when I had to rip out the sleeves!)
Mary Scott Huff's Faery Ring - 90% complete
Kristin Bellehumeur's Palindrome Scarf - 50% complete
Anne Hanson's Fruit of the Vine scarf - 5% complete
Cambria Washington's Eco Quilt and Cable Blanket - 5% complete
Please leave me a comment with your vote for which one to finish next and your rationale. Is it that you want to quickly see a FO? Or are you crying for a nearly finished UFO to finally see the light of day? I could use just about any motivation I can get to finish some of these projects. I really want to shorten my queue before the allure of fall knitting beckons to me once more.

Finish the Palindrome first. It won't take long and should provide almost instant gratification. Then go for the Faery Ring - something about it is so special - it would be a shame to leave it in the UFO pile much longer :)

Floral Jacket -- it's too gorgeous to be waiting any more.

I vote for the blanket, cause it's my pattern and I wanna see it all completed, lol. I'm totally jaded ;)

I'm with the others in picking Faery Ring for the next project. Then maybe the Ribbi Cardi followed by the orange scarf. As an alternating project you could work on the floral sweater ... just keep picking it up and doing a bit so that by spring it will be finished too.

I vote for the Faery Ring. You are oh so close. Once you pick up the needles and think about how close you are to completion, you'll get the spurt of energy to do it.

This afternoon you could knock out that orange scarf in no time. CHECK that one off the list then work on that hoodie, because if your weather is anything like ours right now you'll need it for cooler weather right when you finish it.
I love these cooler weather mornings for walking the dog. Yes, I'm still in shorts but am wanting to wear a jacket for the first 10 minutes.
I can't wait for fall, Carolyn in NC

That Faery Ring hood looks pretty cozy for upcoming autumn weather!

I agree with Karen, Faery Ring and then Ribbi Cardi. But have you looked at the blog "needled"? She has a beautiful hat that she made in a weekend which might inspire the Kaffe Fassett! All your knitting is beautiful BTW! Patt

finish whichever one is closest to being complete so that you can get'er done and off the queue - this should be a bout queue-clearing right now. Enjoy that finishing frenzy and capitalize on it by cleaning up the loose ends so that you can dive back into one that will take more time and work on it under less pressure. so Fairy Ring or Palindrome depending on which style of knitting is calling to you right now.

Please finish the floral jacket. I've been waiting for ever so long to see that one done - it's a beaut!

You have to finish a sweater next. Fall is coming and you'll want something warm and new to wear. Beyond that, I would finish Faery Ring because it is almost done and then your Ribbi Cardi. Both could be done in a week (or so).

Oh, please finish the Kaffe Fassett jacket! I have been aching to see it done since you cast on!

How about finishing your Faery Ring? You are so close to done and you've worked so hard on it. I think the feeling of accomplishing such a difficult pattern would be enough to motivate you to the end. After that, something easy...maybe the palindrome scarf? That's easy enough to be fun to finish. OK...you have my opinion. *smile*
