Or better yet, WHAT to knit.
I need to be inspired by my current WIP queue and I'm not really sure which one is calling to me the loudest.
Here they are in the order they were cast on:
- Appalachian Trail Birch socks (these don't really count - I always have socks on the needles!)
- Aidez - cast on 9/10/2011 - I only got as far as the waist band.
- Eco Quilt & Cable Blanket - cast on 8/1/2011. I was confused about the wrap, but now I got it. Personally, this one is pretty high on the list… mostly because Lisa just got her yarn, and I know she'll be done with her entire blanket before I even pick mine up again. Not that I'm competitive or anything!
- Alhambra - cast on 9/21/2011 - I like this one - but it's lace, so I have to give it 100% of my focus.
- Faery Ring - cast on 11/01/2009 - I'm very, very, very close to being done with this one. If I could just pick it up and focus on it for about one week, it would be done.
- Floral Jacket - cast on 6/18/2008. This one has been sitting for a very long time. I can't put it in the ZZzzz pile because I'm afraid if I do that I will never, ever, ever pick it up again.

Faery Ring first, IMHO.

Ok I say start with Faery Ring since it's so close to being finished. I just read your notes on Ravelry and you said it would make a great jacket for the winter. Winter will still be raging in a week so you'll have plenty of time to wear it this year. Next would be to put some work into the FLoral Jacket. Dont think of finishing it, just keep it alive.
And of course your socks.

Do the Faery Ring! I'm very slowly working my way up the second sleeve.

I would attempt to finish one of those sweaters so that you can enjoy wearing it this winter. Or do the blanket KAL with your friend. ;-) (sjn821 on Rav)

I was thinking of doing a WIP inventory, too. Do we get to vote on what you should knit? :) If so, I vote for Faery Ring.

I vote for Fairy Ring since you are so close to finishing. Then get started on that Eco quilt.

I think you should finish the Faery Ring sweater so you can wear it this winter. And you've only got about a week's worth of knitting left! My next choice is the Floral Jacket because it's so beautiful, although I know that one requires a lot of focus.

Thought: you're much happier knitting small projects for yourself. Most of the things that have become stuck are big things for *you*.
You do deserve to knit yourself something big, and show it off.

You know what I'm going to say, 'cos I said it last time. Floral Jacket. Four years is getting silly.
Anyhow. Let's adventure through steeking together. I've got another 10cm on my fair isle before I get to the shoulders, which is about another 3 hours knitting time. And then we're going to steek. Transatlantically.

Very brave of you to actually name the projects you intend to work on. But that inspires me so...on the needles are the RibYoke Topper from Fall 2011 Vogue, the beginning of another Baby Einstein for my granddaughters (they like to share, a charity sweater. And waiting are the Mystery Socks from KBC (clue 1 delivered last week) and a second GD sweater from yarn purchased at VKL. There are other patterns in the wings, with yarn selected, but I would be overwhelmed if I actually named them--then nothing would get done.

You've thrown down the gauntlet on the blanket, however I am focused on finishing my Kiyomi sweater. But then again I need another project on the needles :-). Maybe I will wind the yarn on Wednesday since I can't knit Kiyomi in a crowd. Oh, and I want to start my socks...hmmm... I vote for the Faery Ring and the blanket.
