Remember my fundraiser/stash busting sale to help my sister? Well, I have some great friends who donated yarn to my sale. My friend Ellen G. (not to be confused with my sister Ellen) has more yarn than she knows what to do with. So she really didn't need to buy any new yarn, but wanted to help out. They did manage to move back into their home for Christmas, but still have a lot of work to do - they're only on the main floor of their house - and after the ground thaws, they'll have to assess how much damage happened to the foundation/basement of their home (Remember those 6 cracks in the foundation that allowed light to pass?). Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. The kids were so excited to be in their house by Christmas, that they all wanted to help paint the basement foundation on Christmas Eve. They called this "Dreaming of a White Christmas" - are these the best kids, or what? I think they need even more handknit socks, don't you?
So please help me share the love. I hope you got something sweet from your honey today. Not everyone in my house eats sugar cookies, so there may have been a healthy option - a heart shaped whole grain PB sandwich.
