Yesterday we had a farewell dinner for our Council Scout Executive and his wife. He's retiring from Boy Scouts after 37 years and we will miss them both dearly. I tried to think of a perfect farewell gift for them both.
It didn't take me long to decide they each needed a set of the miniature Scout sock ornaments. Here I am presenting them to Lou and Tina.
My favorite picture, of course, is of my three friends, not in uniform on a campout, but all dressed up for the farewell luncheon (even though we had all spent the weekend on campouts!). Don't we clean up well?
It was a great luncheon and the end of a wonderful time in our Council. We're really looking forward to what will come and wish Lou and Tina the best in their retirement. Fair winds and following seas.

Oh dear, you had me in a panic for a minute when I saw the title! I'm sorry your friends are leaving, but I'm glad it's not YOU!
