I like watching movies on Netflix. I prefer livestream movies, but they're not always available. Tonight I watched a DVD - Water for Elephants. I loved the book and was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the movie equally as much.
While I watched, I decided to cast on for another Sampler Blanket. When my group knit the friendship blanket (aka Sampler Blanket) for Lisa as she departed Connecticut, I was in charge of buying yarn. Unclear how much I should purchase, I naturally ordered twice as much yarn as I actually needed. Rather than let the yarn go to waste, I decided it was time to make another blanket.
I used Cascade Eco + in Turtle Green Color 2452 and US Size 10.5 needles. Five skeins are needed to finish the blanket.
Since blankets appear to be in my blood these days, I had no problem casting on for yet another, even before I finish the blankets (yes, that's plural!) I'm currently working on. You can never have too many blankets, right?

I was very disappointed in the movie. I know that most movies do not have the length of time they need to do the entire book - but it left out so much of the history of circuses and only focused on the 'romance'....guess it is mainly because I do not really enjoy the majority of 'romance' books/movies/etc....

You can never have too many blankets as long as it's you knitting them and not me! :) I do better with smaller projects.

You can never have too many blankets! The first chilly morning in our new location, Cameron asked me "did you pack THE blankets" referring to the 2 hand knit ones I've made. I realized we might need one more and have been eyeballing all that stash of odds and ends of worsted weigh that could be used.
