After my post earlier this week, I decided I needed a nativity set. I wanted something adorable and meaningful, but didn't really want to buy something that would cost a small fortune. Then I found the perfect fit.
Does it look oddly familiar even if you've never seen it before?
Well, it should. It's a Fisher Price Little People Nativity Set. I'm tickled pink. When you press the little angle on top of the stable, the star lights up and it plays Away in a Manger.

I almost bought one of these the other day, you know, for future grandchildren. I didn't want to jinx it though. Maybe I'll get the Santa's workshop toy instead.

I gave this at a December baby shower several years ago. I wanted the young one to have a set they could manipulate without breakage.

I love it! I remember my sister Colleen asking me to "play people" with her. She meant the people from the Fisher Price sets she owned. Takes me back to the early 70s. :-)
