When I went to The Quilt Shop in Danbury, Connecticut to sign up for the quilting class last spring, I purchased the fabric for my class, plus some wonderful Dr. Seuss fabric by Robert Kaufman. It was so adorable and I just knew I could find the perfect project for such wonderful fabric.
I had so much fun with this fabric and the big storybook panels that I managed to divide the fabric into more than one quilt.
In fact, this large panel which I originally intended to use as the back of a quilt, soon became its very own quilt.
And there you have it. The fabric for one quilt was somehow magically turned into enough fabric for three baby quilts. I'm a total beginner at this quilting and I learned that these storybook panels needed help. They were all different sizes! I think these quilts will be a good practice for me. My next task is to get enough minky fabric to back them.
Looks like a trip to JoAnn's Fabrics is in my future.
