For some reason, most of BF's handknit cashmere socks bit the dust this year. I confess I found him skating across the hardwood floors like a ten-year old, so that might have something to do with it. :O
Seriously though, BF has been very good this year. He's always good. He deserves to have nice warm handknit socks. He wears these more like slippers for use around the house rather than out and about with shoes.
Here are some striped socks with various remnant Lobster Pot hand-dyed cashmere worsted weight yarns. I like the striped patterns for several reasons. If I need to rip out to repair a hole, it's easier to fix it by simply changing the striping pattern. This makes any repair work less noticeable. At least that's my plan. I haven't put it into practice yet.
Of course, there's always a matching mini stocking for the Knit Nook fireplace mantle.
Here they are side by side to give you an idea of size.
Happy New Year BF! May your feet be warm in the new year.
