It was laundry day for my handknit socks this weekend. I'm fortunate enough to have a washing machine that not only has a gentle cycle, but also has a handwash delicate cycle. I am able to "hand wash" all my hand knit socks in the machine in a large batch and then spread them all out over the kitchen table and counters to dry. It often takes a day or two to dry.
In the end, it's like getting a brand new batch of socks as a gift. In this pile are two of my very first pairs of socks, which are ten years old and I confess, starting to show their age. There are also some socks in here that I finished just last month.
I've got nice hand knit socks just in time for the next bout of snow. Yes - you heard me correctly. We're getting more snow. Let me just cry now - U-N-C-L-E!
