Six weeks ago when I started my massive spring cleaning campaign, I decided that I have way too much stuff. That's exactly what it is. S-T-U-F-F. I need to clean up. I need to declutter. I need to organize. After much back-and-forth with BF, I decided to give eBay a try. That way, not only am I cleaning up, but (hopefully) someone is willing to financially incentivize me to give up the much beloved stuff.
Today I posted my first two sales. Believe it or not, I'm going to start selling some knitting stuff. Perhaps even lots of knitting stuff. It's not that I'm giving up on knitting, it's just that I have way too much stuff. So I decided to start with magazines. I'm randomly selling some of my old Vogue Knitting magazines. The first two for sale are:
The first auction is Vogue Knitting - Winter 1994
The second auction is for Vogue Knitting - Spring/Summer 1989
This last item was a little harder to list. I began knitting in earnest in 1988, so I devoured each and every copy of Vogue Knitting thinking about which sweaters I would make. I own nearly every copy of Vogue Knitting and honestly, I have made fewer than six sweaters from 25 years of magazines. What a shame.
When I took pictures to post on eBay, I remembered this little navy blue eyelet cardigan on the right. I liked it today. I remember liking it 25 years ago. I never made it. Maybe someone else will and share the picture with me.
So there you have it. My cathartic cleaning has begun. I hope it will be a positive experience. I'm going to start slowly, but I hope to build to a regular volume. My goal is to list new sales every Sunday night. You can follow me at Jelojama on eBay. I'll probably post my Sunday Sales posts, here, too. Stay tuned. Let me know if you see something you like.
