I've been planning this fabulous event for weeks. It's the annual Mad Hatter Tea Party in Westport. I've worked with my dear friend Joanne for the past several years on this party (in a very small way) - but this year I stepped up to ressurect the Tea Party for a new charity - Connecticut Yankee Council - and it's nearly here.
Mad Hatter Tea Party
Tuesday, July 15, 2014
11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
at a private residence in Westport, Connecticut
I hope you can join us. Just put on your summer dress - and perhaps a hat or fascinator - and come have a good time. You can still buy your tickets at www.ctyankee.org/teaparty
The yard is ready. The bushes are pruned. The flowers are growing. The vegetable garden is growing like nobody's business. The sun is shining and everything is cleaned and looking its best.
There are so many hats to choose from. There are whimsical hats and comical hats.
There are Scouting hats.
And little black hats.
There will be fascinators.
And really wide brimmed hats trimmed with matching ribbons, feathers and flowers.
Even if you come without a hat, I hope you'll join us for a tea party that is a lovely fun day at a private residence in Westport, Connecticut - just perfect for a girls day out with friends - with cucumber sandwiches and other tea party classics - and just the right amount of shopping. There will also be some great silent auction items for camping, for tea, or just for fun. You'll have a lovely time while helping support a good cause for our children.
Please say you'll come. We'd love to have you join us.
