It's early January and the temperatures are fitting only for penguins. So in honor of these cold weather friends, I present my two latest Penguin Poppers.
I just love this pattern by Jill Arnusch. I've made a dozen of these cute little critters. I just love their dramatic, adorable and even whimsical look. I love that they can be personalized based on the recipient's favorite colors, sports team, or school colors. The 6mm Suncatcher craft eyes add to the charm.
Each penguin has a different personality depending on how his eyes, his hat, how his wings fold.
I use my Knit Picks Palette yarns to create these penguin ornaments and US Size 1 needles. I have plenty of leftover fingering weight sock yarn for the hats. It's a great way to use up the odds and ends. I think they make great gifts, too.
So there you go. Check out this pattern for the perfect way to ward off this antarctic weather we're having!
