BF and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. There were the traditional gifts that we exchange with one another. As you know, I always knit a pair of cashmere socks for BF. This year, I designed a lovely pair of striped socks using up the odds and ends of leftover yarn from the other socks I have knit him in the past few years. In fact, we had dinner in the city and I managed to use the train ride to weave in all those loose ends.
When I started knitting these leftover socks, I thought they would be practical but not that appealing.
Now that they're complete, though, I'm really pleased with them. I like the look of the thick stripes and the random color repeats.
And as tradition would have it, I also knit a matching miniature sock ornament.
Happy anniversary my dear BF. You warm me heart and soul. I hope I do the same - heart, soul and footsies.
