Mingau - Brazilian Warm Chocolate Pudding

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons corn starch
4 tablespoons cocoa to taste (I used Ovaltine chocolate malted mix)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
2 cups milk (Or mix 1/2 cup half and half and 1 1/2 cups milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Optional - add pieces of your favorite rich chocolate bar

Blend sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in a saucepan. Beat egg yolks; add to flour mixture. Gradually add the milk to the egg yolk/flour mixture. Cook until thick over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add vanilla.

Serve warm.
