1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda


Cream sugar, margarine and oil. Add egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Chill dough in the refrigerator at least 2 hours or even overnight. Roll into small balls. Pat down with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
