Almond Apple Crumb Cake

INGREDIENTS

CAKE

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon allspice
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
¼ cup butter, melted
1 cup plain yogurt
2 eggs
4-5 apples, peeled, cored and diced

TOPPING

1 ½ cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups Corn Flakes
½ cup flour
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup silvered almonds


INSTRUCTIONS

Cake:
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, allspice and cinnamon. Add eggs. Mix until blended. Add melted butter, eggs, and yogurt. Beat until batter is smooth. Stir in apples. Pour into a greased and floured (or use Pam spray) 9x13 Pyrex cake pan.

Topping:
In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, Corn Flakes, flour, silvered almonds and melted butter. Stir until blended. Sprinkle evenly on top of cake batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes until done.
