Bearista Dress

MATERIALS
1 skein Red Heart Grande yarn
1 set US Size 15 straight needles
1 large crochet hook to weave in loose ends and make straps
Incr = increase one by knitting into the front and the back of the stitch
DIRECTIONS
Cast on 24 stitches (Bearista Bear has a 12 inch circumference)
ROW 1: Knit across
ROW 2: Purl across
ROWS 3-6: Repeat Rows 1-2 two more times
ROW 7: *(Incr 1, K1) – repeat across
ROW 8: Purl across
ROW 9: *(Incr 1, K1) – repeat across
ROW 10: Purl across
ROW 11: Knit across
ROW 12: Purl across
Repeat Rows 11-12 for approx 2.5 inches
Bind off
FINISHING
Weave in loose ends.
Sew back of dress together.
Sew on a decorative button in the front center for added pizzazz (optional).
Straps
Pull the yarn through the top stitch where you want to place the front strap. Make a single chain stitch in crochet for approximately 3 inches. Attach it to the back in the correct position appropriate for your stuffed animal.
Repeat for the other strap.
Weave in the ends.
