Your prayer shawl is very nice. The garter stitch edge is a great idea...I am not fond of fringe, so I am always looking for new ideas to finish them off :)

Oh nice ... it looks so soft, cozy and comforting.

Your instructions are very timely and I appreciate that. A woman with whom I work has a very special male friend who has been told he has 12 months, if he's lucky. I would like to knit her a prayer shawl, I even have the Homespun, but just hadn't figured out which pattern to use. And here you are, Jennifer On the Spot. Thank you! And I love the color changes in your shawl - it's lovely.

I've knit prayer shawls, and find them to be very relaxing and meditative knits.

Congrats on another FO, Jennifer. It really is lovely. Homespun is a great yarn for projects that are larger, like the prayer shawl. The gradual change in it's colors are more evident, and it's bulkiness makes it such a quick knit. :-)

Perhaps getting distracted and startitis abated the finishing?

Good for you!
