I'm making decent progress already on the sleeves for the Ribby Cardi.
I am knitting both sleeves simultaneously so that I keep the increases consistent. They're growing rather quickly so I am encouraged. I'm watching the 2009 version of Wuthering Heights with Thomas Hardy, Charlotte Riley and Andrew Lincoln while I knit these. Wuthering Heights is another favorite classic of mine. I like to think about the darkness that was inside the Bronte sisters to make them create such Gothic novels as this and Jane Eyre. What were their life experiences that helped each of them come up with such characters. Research tells us a bit, but not enough. Such darkness. Such brooding. Such psychology in all their characters. I think it's the perfect backdrop to such dark knitting.
Which is your favorite version of Wuthering Heights? How about Jane Eyre?
