I've turned into a hat knitting factory. It's the best remedy for using up the yarn stash. On my Ravelry group - Finish or Frog It - Rebecca challenged us to make 2016 the Year of the Hat. What a brilliant idea. She also pointed out the wonders of color work knitting for using up all those odd bits and bobs of yarn to turn leftovers into something fabulous. So I've been queueing all my favorite hat patterns on Ravelry and have been eyeing the viral pattern Baa-ble Hat by Donna Smith. I kept watching as my knitting friends were knitting this adorable creation left and right. So I finally took a dive in my stash pond and found some light blue, grass green, white and black and cast on for my very own Baa-ble Hat.
What a fun knitting project. It's quick, easy, fits perfectly, uses up leftover worsted weight yarn (which I think we all have a ton of secretly stored in our homes) and is a huge crowd pleaser.
Baa! Baa! What are you waiting for. Go knit yours today!
I would so love to knit this hat - but I looked at the pattern and it is out of my knitting skills!! Whaaaa!

I'm on the last few rows of this right now. It is actually a first for me using color and I think I may knit a few more.

Love it! We sold quite a few kits for this pattern at my LYS. It has been very popular!
